Adjusting

John has been in Brazil for 3 days getting a whirlwind tour of the company's bases. Gareth and I are establishing our routine without John.

I have to admit Gareth is adjusting in an interesting manner. In some ways he is stepping up and trying to fill his dad's shoes. He is even using phrases like "Let me get that for you" like his dad does. It makes me smile to see a glimpse of the man my little boy will be some day On the opposite side. I find him acting more immature in areas. Last night he wanted a pillow he used to like for security that he hasn't slept with in a long time. I just keep giving him extra love and attention, and I think this will all balance out.

I find myself also having a little trouble adjusting. The first day I cleaned and scrubbed getting ready for the move. The last couple of days I have been more at a loss of what to do with myself now that there is less to do by one person. I also find myself holding my phone at all times. The communication between us is iffy depending on when he has access to wifi. I just don't want to miss an opportunity to talk or see pictures of our new home.
